Today, as all of you know, is Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving! No doubt you have plans to spend some time with friends and/or family, to enjoy a great magnificent feast and eat more food than you normally eat in a week. I know that’s what we are going to be doing at least. And although we can’t be with our family this Thanksgiving, we are going to be spending it with some good friends from our church, who have become like family.
Clarissa and I are so blessed to have two families. We are so grateful that God has always provided us with great churches at each of our Coast Guard duty stations. Each Church is the constant thing that grounds us and connects us to a new place. We get to meet some great people, serve in a loving community and make some great memories. Each Church has literally been our saving grace.
This year, I am thankful for God’s continued blessing on my life, for having a loving wife, three amazing children, a loving family in California (and a few other states), good friends that we’ve had the privilege to meet and get to know over the years (and who we still stay in contact with), and lastly, but certainly NOT least, for our friends here in Connecticut and a Church that we can call home, Fellowship Church. We are so blessed to be here at this time in our lives.
To all of you, please remember all the things that you have to be thankful for this year. So, from our house to yours, Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you have a great day and God Bless!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 118:1 NLT)
